WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Glossy pale purple hue with a complex yet subtle and enticing nose of plush winter berries. Sweetly perfumed aromas of currants and a note of fleshy peach, menthol  and violets lift from the glass. The wine is full and round in the mouth, with layers of plum, blackberry and bramble. This is a richly sumptuous wine, with tannins, discreet classy wood and alcohol that never dominate the overall impression of balance and harmony, even in such a young wine. Harvest timing and ripening, then gentle extraction, were key to achieving its elegance and finely crafted profile. Its fruit is velvety, seductive and so approachable, and on the finish it shows freshness and generous dry mouthfeel which keeps it lively and nimble footed.
